This Friday is your chance to watch KXSC DJs and Thornton School of Music professors deconstruct the thrones of some of hip-hop's reigning songs.

The jazz and hip-hop departments at KXSC have collaborated to bring you the first ever KXSC Sample Showcase, where a panel discussion will explore the relationship between these two genres and the impact of sampling on music.

If you're a music-lover, come to Ground Zero, grab a delicious milkshake, and get a taste of the jazz songs that have created the sound of hip-hop we love today.
