KXSC Fest Food Truck: Kogi
Kogi BBQ started out as a little Korean taco truck in Thanksgiving 2008. Today, they serve as an icon of Los Angeles street food, and as a representation of the belief that excellent food can also be affordable. Chef Roy has worked his level best to dig into the base flavors that raised him on the streets of LA in order to provide everyone with the most authentic street food possible. He has been named Food and Wine Magazine’s Best New Chef in 2010, and is currently working on his memoir “LA Son.” Although Kogi started with one truck, the support and army of fans has helped make Kogi a symbol of Los Angeles with four trucks at different ends of the city.
