Show Review: Toro y Moi at the Teragram Theater
Under a shower of glowing stage lights and psychedelic projections Chaz Bundick (more commonly known as Toro y Moi) and fellow band mates took to the stage in Downtown Los Angeles last Monday to continue with Red Bull’s 30 Days in LA concert series. Between mesmerizing guitar riffs and enough funky bass to groove an army, Bundick and his band both moved and grooved the crowd from start to finish with a nonstop flow of foot-tapping, head-bobbing tunes. The crowd, a perfect blend of chilled out, music appreciating fans to energetic, dancing concert-goers, perked up at the very recognizable star of “So Many Details”, and continued the excitement through some of my personal show favorites; “New Beat”, “Say That”, and “Harm In Change”. And, of course, the show wouldn’t be done justice without mentioning the extreme musical talent both Bundick and his band displayed while rocking out on their instruments. Needless to say, if you ever get the chance to start your week by grooving out to Toro Y Moi live, I 110% recommend it.
