January's Staff Member of the Month: Nina Baker-Mason

Don’t you love going to concerts for free?  So do we—meet the woman behind all our giveaways and some of our favorite concert experiences!

January’s ~Staff Member of the Month~ is Nina Baker-Mason, our beloved Promotions Director 💓💓

Nina works with various artists and LA promoters to coordinate all our ticket giveaways, concert reviews, and KXSC interviews. 📣 🎟 

Maybe we’re a bit biased, but Nina is absolutely STELLAR at her job—she’s gotten KXSC DJs tickets to Brockhampton, Mitski, Florence + the Machine, and MORE! 😱😱She even interned at Warner Bros. Records this past semester in their Promotions Department! 🌟👩‍💼

Favorite thing about being on staff: “It allows me to meet more people who are part of the radio station and facilitate more of a community between our listeners, DJs, staff, followers, and the artists that we interact with.” Coolest thing you've done on staff: “I got a ridiculous amount of tickets for giveaways for the Music Tastes Good Festival in Long Beach so a bunch of our listeners, followers, and some from the KXSC family were able to go to the event!”

We absolutely stan the heck out of Nina. Tune in every Thursday at 6 pm PST to Nina in a Haystack with DJ Pollux to hear some of Nina’s favorite alternative songs blended with some unique bangers! 🕺🕺
