Ghe20g0th1k is never in L.A., so don’t miss your only opportunity to catch one of the world’s best parties while it's here.

Burbank Ikea Opening Day - 02/08

Huge one here. Ikea is opening a new store in Burbank right down the street from their current location at that mall. But this Ikea is way bigger and way better. In fact, its the largest Ikea in North America. You don’t necessarily have to go the day it opens, but I have a feeling it’ll be a packed opening weekend.

Akela & Moon Casual Radio Presents @ Los Globos - 02/10

Catch KXSC resident and former DJ program overlord Bapari at Los Globos.

Jungle 2017 @ TBA (DTLA) - 02/15

Courtesy of Sean Morgenthaler, don’t miss your monthly dose of Jungle & Hardcore.

Zoe Citterman - R&B Director

MNDSGN at the Natural History Museum - 02/03

MNDSGN is one of my favorites at Stones Throw right now. Really rad beats and dynamic production style with elements of jazz, synth-funk, electronica, R&B/soul, etc. Check Body Wash if you haven't!

Alicia Keys at Belasco - 02/08

Here was one of the more slept on projects of 2016. Mad love to Alicia Keys and the work she's doing rn!

6LACK at the Observatory - 02/18

Pretty sure this show is sold out, but if you can find tickets, it's going to be a really fun one. Check his recently released FREE 6LACK project if you're into hip-hop/R&B. Dude's about to have a big year, I'm calling it now.

BADBADNOTGOOD at the Observatory - 02/25

They put on a really rad live show, and since they play around LA a lot, their tickets are usually pretty cheap! Cool funky jazz, if you're into that.

Jatin Chowdhury - Jazz Director

Bennie Maupin Ensemble @ The Blue Whale - 02/03

Catch Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis collaborator, as well as all-around saxophone badass, Bennie Maupin at the Blue Whale, with some folks from the USC jazz school.

Max Ox @ The Satellite - 02/07

Max Ox is a pretty incredible band with a unique take on the idea of a keyboard trio. Highly recommend both their albums. Also, some KXSC connections: Max Ox bass player Corbin Jones is a KXSC alumnus, and concert organizer Allegra Rosenburg is the current DJ of KXSC’s own Radio Gumball.

Mark De-Clive Lowe New Album Release Concert @ The Blue Whale - 02/17 + 02/18

Mark De Clive-Lowe has one of the most captivating sets of any artist in either the electronic or jazz mediums. He’s doing a show to celebrate his new album release, with a band featuring some pretty heavy cats.

Tennyson @ The Echoplex - 02/24

Tennyson is a pretty dope brother/sister, keyboard/drums duo. Definitely give their EP Like What a listen if you haven’t already. I was fortunate enough to see them live about a year ago, and it was an insanely fun time. I’m pretty stoked to see them again.

Christina Nour - LA Music Director

Come hear USC’s rock n’ roll (cute) boy band play! 21+ show

Planned Parenthood Benefit w/ Ty Segall @ Teragram Ballroom - 02/14

This lineup is stacked! Ty is reason enough to come out, but it’s also featuring Kevin Morby of The Babies, Jennifer & Jessie of Bleached, King Tuff, Mikal Cronin, ENTRANCE, The Cairo Gang, Shannon Lay of FEELS, Shana Cleveland of La Luz, Gal Pals & more! Tickets are $35-40 but all money goes to Planned Parenthood. Come mosh for a good cause!

Cherry Glazerr @ the Teragram Ballroom - 02/16

This is the first LA show since Cherry Glazerr just released their new album, Apocalipstick, so it should be pretty crazy! I’ll see you there!

LA Art Book Fair @ the Geffen MOCA - 02/23

Zines galore! Probably good people-watching, too.

PWR BTTM @ Highland Park Ebell - 02/27

Stacked line up including LA faves Peach Kelli Pop and Franky Flowers!

Christian Koch - Loud Rock Director

Murder City Devils @ Teragram Ballroom - 02/10

A great 90s and 2000s heavy garage rock band, super raw, should be a good show.

Metallica @ Hollywood Palladium - 02/12

I wouldn’t say Metallica is in their prime, but this is your opportunity to see one of the most influential metal bands of all time, fresh off a new album.

Born of Osiris @ The Roxy - 02/28

Very heavy, high energy show, falling somewhere between metalcore and full blown death metal. If you’re a metalhead, this is awesome!!
