Transviolet: Pre-Show Coverage
This wednesday, Transviolet, an electropop duo with roots in NYC and LA, will be making their first headlining gig at The Echo. The group has not been making music for very long but they seem to be headed down a path similar to that of Halsey, another member of this new era of electropop, one that follows the success of artists such as Lorde and Katy Perry. Transviolets' tracks evoke memories of the darker musical stylings of some of Lana Del Ray’s work, the lower register in songs like "Girls Your Age" creates a synthy-ballad that tries to state a message similar to Halsey’s track, "New Americana" For a band with only a handful of songs from their 2015 Self Titled release, they interestingly marketed themselves by mailing tapes to strangers.
Transviolet is playing at the Echo on August 10th. Get your tickets here.
