KXSC Fest Artist: Muna

This all female trio is anything but your average "girly pop trio." Drawing broad influences from various genres, Muna claims their sound as one similar to that differing artists such as Prince, Little Dragon, and the Smiths. This trio successfully balances a sound filled with trippy psychedelic grooves intertwined with hook heavy pop vocals. Their latest EP title comes from a line in the key track "The Grave' that critiques society's tendency to marginalize nonconformists, which gives you a pretty good idea about what typeof girls they are.
