“Richard Sears is a highly inventive pianist, possessing a bold and lyrical approach to improvisation and composition. Whether leading performances of his own music or acting as an accompanist in a more traditional jazz context, Sears performs with a captivating sense of grace and adventure. Certainly someone to keep and ear on!”

Tropical Popsicle makes psychedelic pop songs that sound like a vinyl copy of Odyssey and Oracle caked in dust and incense grime. The songs feel traditional to the garage and baroque pop they pay homage to, but the occasional drum machine and drone-y side effects give them a contemporary spin.
Orange County indie rockers This Time With Feeling craft indie rock heavy on the rhythmic percussion, a la White Rabbits, but still maintain a breeziness to their sound.
Furcast makes music that sounds like Danny Elfman and Eraserhead-era David Lynch came together to produce a Youth Lagoon album. These old-fashioned melodies are caked with noise and psychedelic freakouts, creating an eery atmosphere only aliens transmitting their best vaudeville parody might be able to replicate.

Local duo Spaceships makes garage rock as scuzzy as the oil stain spreading beneath your gramps' broken down Oldsmobile.
